These are the mods I made for a voxel game called Staxel. I made the art and edited code from similar in-game items to add my various items in the game.
This is a mod that adds seven wild birds into the game. Each bird has a baby variant, so while there are seven different kinds of birds, there are 14 models in total. Each species has a fun fact from their Wikipedia page included in their item description.
This was requested by a user in the official Staxel discord.
I modeled all the birds in MagicaVoxel, edited the code in Atom, and made sure you could collect them just like the bugs in-game.
This is a mod that adds three floor terrariums, two wall terrariums, and five aeriums (ceiling terrariums). They’re all just for decoration.
Transparent voxels weren’t a thing in staxel at the time of making this mod, so where there should be “glass” is instead left blank to give the illusion of glass.
I modeled all the terrariums and aeriums in MagicaVoxel, edited the code in Notepad++, and made sure certain terrariums could only be placed on certain surfaces.
This is a mod that adds a few Christmas desserts as decoration. There is one pie flavor with its corresponding slice with and without whip cream, four cake flavors and their four corresponding slices, two fruit puddings, three plates of cookies and their three corresponding single cookies. This makes for a total of 19 desserts.
This was made for a community Christmas event in the official Staxel discord server back in 2016. The goal was to have a town of different services and decorations on a multiplayer server. This was before Staxel was on steam so the mod was posted in the now archived Staxel forums. The mod was later uploaded to Staxel’s steam workshop once it was in early access on steam.
